Coast Guard to Address IGF Code at Upcoming Workshop

The U.S. Coast Guard will hold a public workshop April 1 in Washington, D.C., to discuss topics related to the development of the International Maritime Organization’s International Code for Ships Using Gases or Other Low-Flashpoint Fuels (IGF Code). Safety topics to be discussed at the workshop include design, equipment, operational and training requirements. According to the Coast Guard, this workshop is intended to be an interactive exchange of information between policymakers, industry experts and interested members of the public. Members of the public wishing to attend the workshop should contact the Coast Guard by March 24.
