Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The International Trade Data System Committee of the Trade Support Network is seeking no later than Sept. 4 participants in a new working group that will focus on the information technology-related issues associated with implementing the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s pilot test of the electronic filing of targeting and enforcement data elements in the Automated Commercial Environment. This working group is tasked with ensuring that all technical and data requirements are transitioned to ACE in a seamless, efficient and timely manner and that the data submitted electronically to ACE via the partner government agency message set assist the CPSC in executing its import processing and review duties. Weekly teleconferences will focus on the business process and technical data flows required for this message set to define the programming and operational guidelines to be implemented by CBP, the CPSC, importers and customs brokers when filing and processing entries for products subject to CPSC jurisdiction. Those interested in participating in this working group should contact Frank Korpusik, Sandra Scott or Stuart Schmidt.
