Trade Symposium to Address ACE, Single Window, CEEs, Exports, Supply Chains
U.S. Customs and Border Protection will convene its 2015 East Coast Trade Symposium in Baltimore, Md., Nov. 4-5. This event will feature a keynote address by CBP Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske as well as panel discussions involving CBP personnel, members of the trade community and other government agencies on CBP’s role in international trade initiatives and partnerships.
Topics to be addressed during the general sessions include the single window concept, the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement, a customs view of North America issues, and CBP’s perspective on global supply chains. There will also be break-out sessions on single window implementation, trade enforcement, the Automated Commercial Environment, Centers of Excellence and Expertise, and the future of automation for exports.
