Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is seeking comments by March 25 on the proposed extension without change of the information collection associated with the safety standard for omnidirectional citizens band base station antennas. This standard establishes performance requirements for such antennas to reduce unreasonable risks of death and injury that may result if an antenna contacts overhead power lines while being erected or removed from its site. The regulations implementing the standard require manufacturers, importers and private labelers of antennas subject to the standard to test them for compliance with the standard and maintain records of that testing.
