Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has determined to add the following two fabrics to the CAFTA-DR short supply list in unrestricted quantities.

- warp stretch woven rayon, nylon, spandex fabric classified under HTSUS 5516.22.00, 5516.23.00 and 5516.24.00

- warp stretch woven rayon, polyester, nylon, spandex fabric classified under HTSUS 5407.10.00, 5407.92.20, 5407.93.20, 5407.94.20, 5516.22.00, 5516.23.00 and 5516.24.00

CITA found that these fabrics are not available in commercial quantities in a timely manner from a supplier in the CAFTA-DR countries. As a result, effective May 17, garments cut and assembled in a CAFTA-DR country from such fabric, regardless of where it is sourced, may be imported duty-free into the U.S.
