CBP to Deactivate Six Boston Port Codes for Cargo

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports that during the week of Sept. 5 the following Boston port codes will be deactivated and the trade community will no longer be able to use them on bills of lading or in-bond movements.

- 0181 (Lebanon Airport)

- 0409 (Provincetown, Mass.)

- 0499 (Boston Cartage Control)

- 0601 (Bridgeport, Conn.)

- 0602 (Hartford, Conn.)

- 0603 (New Haven, Conn.)

CBP is conducting a process in which it is identifying port codes associated to facilities that are no longer active and deactivating them one field office at a time.
