Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

According to Melissa Miller Proctor, head of Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg’s Export Practice, Census Bureau officials report that the agency is ready to accept export filings under the first regulatory revisions being made under the Export Control Reform Initiative. Specifically, the Automated Export System has been reprogrammed to accept new 600-series export control classification numbers and new license codes that will take effect Oct. 15. As a result, as of Oct. 14 exporters are able to submit electronic export information for shipments subject to the new rules that depart Oct. 15 or later.
