Nature of Notice: Continuation of countervailing duty order for five years, effective Sept. 5.

Details: The merchandise covered by this order is sodium nitrite in any form, at any purity level, whether or not containing an anti-caking agent. Examples of names commonly used to reference sodium nitrite are nitrous acid, sodium salt, anti-rust, diazotizing salts, erinitrit and filmerine. Sodium nitrite is generally classified under HTSUS subheading 2834.10.1000.

Country: China.

Nature of Notice: Preliminary affirmative determination and partial preliminary affirmative determination of critical circumstances in AD investigation, effective Sept. 8.

Details: The ITA has preliminarily determined that imports of subject merchandise are being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value and has established preliminary AD margins of 106.19% for eight producer/exporter combinations and 110.25% for all other companies. The ITA has also preliminarily determined that critical circumstances exist with respect to the China-wide entity but do not exist with respect to the separate rate companies.

Nature of Notice: Preliminary results of AD administrative review, effective Sept. 8.

Details: The DOC has preliminarily established a dumping margin of zero percent for imports of subject merchandise during the period Dec. 1, 2012, through Nov. 30, 2013. If these results are finalized, CBP will not assess AD duties or require cash deposits on appropriate entries.
