Nature of Notice: Institution of AD and CV duty investigations.

Details: The ITC has initiated AD and CV injury investigations of calcium hypochlorite classified under HTSUS 2828.10.00 from China. The schedule for the preliminary phase of these investigations is as follows: a conference will be held on Jan. 8, written comments may be submitted by Jan. 13 and the ITC will issue its preliminary determination by Feb. 3 (a vote has been scheduled for Jan. 31).

Nature of Notice: Full sunset reviews of AD duty orders.

Details: The ITC has decided to conduct full sunset reviews of the AD duty orders on subject merchandise from Australia and China. The reviews will seek to determine whether revocation of these orders would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to a domestic industry within a reasonably foreseeable time. As opposed to expedited reviews, full reviews include a public hearing and the issuance of questionnaires.

Nature of Notice: Expedited sunset review of AD duty order.

Details: The ITC has decided to conduct an expedited sunset review of the AD duty order on subject merchandise from China. The review will seek to determine whether revocation of this order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to a domestic industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.

Commodity: Polyethylene terephthalate film, sheet and strip.

Country: United Arab Emirates.

Nature of Notice: Preliminary results of AD administrative review.

Details: The ITA has preliminarily calculated dumping rates of 1.41% and 7.11% for two manufacturers/exporters in this review, which covers the period Nov. 1, 2011, through Oct. 31, 2012. CBP will preliminarily assess AD duties on all appropriate entries using these rates, which will also be used to determine new AD cash deposit requirements.

Country: Mexico.

Nature of Notice: Preliminary results of AD administrative review.

Details: The ITA has preliminarily calculated dumping rates of 0.59% and 2.26% for two manufacturers/exporters in this review, which covers the period Nov. 1, 2011, through Oct. 31, 2012. CBP will preliminarily assess AD duties on all appropriate entries using these rates, which will also be used to determine new AD cash deposit requirements.

Country: France.

Nature of Notice: Continuation of AD duty order.

Details: The ITC determined Nov. 13 that revocation of this AD duty order would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the U.S. within a reasonably foreseeable time. Accordingly, the DOC has extended the order for an additional five years.

Country: China.

Nature of Notice: Preliminary results and partial rescission of AD administrative review.

Details: The ITA has preliminarily calculated dumping rates ranging from $1.17/kg to $4.71/kg in its administrative review of subject merchandise for the period Nov. 1, 2011, through Oct. 31, 2012. CBP will preliminarily assess AD duties on all appropriate entries using these rates, which will also be used to determine new AD cash deposit requirements. The ITA has also preliminarily determined that 13 companies that filed “no shipment” certifications had no entries of subject merchandise during the period of review.
