Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The National Marine Fisheries Service’s test of the electronic transmission of forms and/or data required for processing imports and exports of tunas, swordfish and toothfish will end Sept. 20. NMFS has determined that the Automated Commercial Environment and the Automated Export System are capable of accepting electronic entries of NMFS-regulated commodities, and NMFS regulations will require the use of ACE or AES for electronic filings of regulated imports or exports of fish products as of Sept. 20. All importers and exporters of such goods are encouraged to use these systems for their electronic filings in advance of that date.
