U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that a new Automated Commercial Environment query capability that allows filers to request cargo, manifest and entry record status information that is on file in ACE will be available Oct. 18 for Automated Broker Interface filers. This query will provide the following information.

- processing status for an ACE cargo release entry, including selectivity results

- manifest details related to an ACE cargo release entry transaction

- ACE ocean and rail import manifest status information queried by bill of lading

- in-bond entry transactions filed via manifest or the QP/WP in-bond program

Additionally, participants will be able to choose to limit or expand the amount of data returned in a query by selecting to receive only the most recent notification, the five most recent notifications or all available notifications for the queried entry, bill of lading, air waybill or in-bond entry.

CBP notes that the current cargo/manifest status query in the Automated Commercial System will continue to be available until ACS is decommissioned. Similarly, the ACE Portal will continue to provide reports functionality.
