Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is providing flexibility for the trade community to test the Automated Commercial Environment air manifest system through June 6, when the Air Automated Manifest System will be phased out. In the meantime, CBP will continue routing trade manifest submissions to both ACE and AMS.

CBP states that in-bonds for airway bills of lading will continue to be filed via the QX/WX application for the time being, with the effective date for changing from QX/WX to QP/WP pushed back from May 1 to June 7. In addition, all ABI filers will continue to use the IN query to query air bills until the CQ query becomes available June 7.
