Phthalate Advisory Panel Schedules Teleconference, Public Meeting
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced that the Chronic Hazard Advisory Panel on phthalates and phthalate substitutes will hold a teleconference Feb. 1 and a public meeting Feb. 15-17 in Bethesda, Md. The public meeting will also be available live via webcast.
This panel is studying the effects on children’s health of all phthalates and phthalate alternatives as used in children’s toys and child care articles. At the upcoming meetings it will discuss progress toward completing its final report on potential risks from phthalates and phthalate substitutes.
