Export Privileges Suspended for Brazil Man for Attempted Transshipment to Iran

The Bureau of Industry and Security has taken action against a Brazilian man to settle charges that he violated the Export Administration Regulations by conspiring to export an engineering software program to Iran via Brazil without the required U.S. government authorization. Specifically, BIS has issued an order suspending for three years the man’s export privileges relating to any commodity, software or technology subject to the EAR or any other activity subject to the EAR.
