Foreign Regulatory Changes That Could Affect Exports

According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the World Trade Organization has been notified of regulatory changes that may affect exports of specific products to the following countries. For more information on how these restrictions may affect your business, contact ST&R.

• Canada – proposed amendment to the sulfur in diesel fuel regulations (comments due by Feb. 1)

• Canada – proposed order adding hexabromocyclododecane (comments due by Feb. 8) and quinolone (comments due by Feb. 15) to Schedule 1 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act

• Canada – guidelines (part 1 and part 2) on use of claims on how animals or fish are raised or fed (comments due by Feb. 22)

• Paraguay – requirements for authorization and registration of plants engaged in the selection and packing of fresh fruits and vegetables
