Dates and Deadlines in the Week Ahead

Following are highlights of regulatory effective dates and deadlines and federal agency meetings coming up in the next week. More details on these and other items can be found in our Trade Activity Calendar.

Jan. 9 – deadline for comments on factors that may cause or contribute to the shift of containerized cargo destined for U.S. inland points from U.S. to Canadian and Mexican seaports

Jan. 9 – deadline for comments on U.S.-Canada action plan establishing joint priorities within four areas of cooperation: addressing threats early; trade facilitation, economic growth and jobs; cross-border law enforcement; and critical infrastructure and cyber security

Jan. 9 – comments on proposed extension of the entry summary (CBP Form 7501)

Jan. 12 – Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg webinar on identifying and resolving export compliance issues

Jan. 13 – comments on interest expressed by Japan, Canada and Mexico in potentially joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations
