Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Disposition of AD/CV Orders on Cut-to-Length Steel. The International Trade Administration has revoked the antidumping duty orders on certain cut-to-length carbon quality steel plate from Italy and Japan and the countervailing duty order on such merchandise from Italy, effective Dec. 6, 2010. The ITA will now instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to terminate the suspension of liquidation and collection of cash deposits on entries of subject merchandise entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after that date. Entries of subject merchandise prior to that date will continue to be subject to suspension of liquidation and AD and/or CV duty deposit requirements. The ITA will complete any pending administrative reviews of these orders.

The ITA has also continued the AD and CV duty orders on certain cut-to-length carbon quality steel plate from India, Indonesia and Korea. As a result, CBP will continue to collect AD/CV duty cash deposits at the rates in effect at the time of entry for all imports of subject merchandise.
