New York/New Jersey Foreign-Trade Zone Proposed for Expansion

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received an application from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, grantee of FTZ 49, requesting authority to expand its zone to include the Raritan Center Business Park in the Newark/Elizabeth, N.J., area, within the New York/Newark U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. No specific manufacturing authority is being requested at this time, and any such requests would be made on a case-by-case basis. Comments on this application are due no later than Feb. 13, 2012.
