FMC to Meet Dec. 8 to Discuss China Bond Rider, NVOCCs, EU Liner Policy

The Federal Maritime Commission will hold a partially open meeting Dec. 8 in Washington, D.C. The open session of this meeting will include discussion of a Chinese proposal to increase the amount of the optional China bond rider as well as a notice of inquiry concerning non-vessel-operating common carrier service arrangements. The closed session will address the European Union’s 2008 repeal of the liner shipping conference exemption from competition laws and a proposed amendment to the Consolidated Chassis Management Pool Agreement.
