Foreign Regulatory Changes Could Affect Exports of Vessels, Appliances, Tractors, Foods

According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the World Trade Organization has been notified of regulatory changes that may affect exports of specific products to the following countries. For more information on how these restrictions may affect your business, contact ST&R.

• Colombia – sanitary requirements for fishing vessels (comments due by Feb. 7, 2012)

• France – amended safety regulations on ethanol-fueled appliances

• Tanzania – standards for agricultural four-wheeled tractors, disc plows used for four-wheel tractors and walking-type agricultural tractors (comments due by Jan. 25, 2012)

• Tanzania – standard prescribing the requirements and methods of sampling and testing for edible sunflower seed oil, raw cane sugar, plantation (mill) while sugar, refined sugar and brown sugar (comments due by Jan. 25, 2012)
