Foreign Regulatory Changes Could Affect Exports of Foods and Vehicles
According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the World Trade Organization has been notified of regulatory changes that may affect exports of specific products to the following countries. For more information on how these restrictions may affect your business, contact ST&R.
• Bahrain – draft technical regulations on (a) materials and articles intended to come in contact with food and (b) canned pineapple (comments due by Jan. 17, 2012)
• Mexico – official standard on yogurt published Nov. 3 and effective 60 days later
• United Arab Emirates – draft technical regulations on materials and articles intended to come in contact with food, canned pineapple and quick-frozen cauliflower (comments due by Jan. 17, 2012)
