More Proposed Revisions to Test Procedures for Residential Clothes Washers

The Department of Energy is proposing to again revise the test procedures for residential clothes washers established under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act. Specifically, DOE proposes to amend the definition of the energy test cycle to ensure that the test procedure is representative of consumer behavior and repeatable among different test laboratories. Comments, data and information on this supplemental proposed rule are due no later than Dec. 9.
