South Sudan Considered for Designation as GSP Beneficiary

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative is soliciting comments through Nov. 29 on the potential designation of the Republic of South Sudan as a beneficiary developing country and least-developed BDC under the Generalized System of Preferences. The eligibility criteria for such designations may be viewed here.

GSP provides preferential duty-free treatment for over 3,400 products from 129 designated BDCs and territories. An additional 1,400 products are GSP-eligible when imported from the 42 designated LDBDCs.
