Export Committee on Materials and Related Technology to Meet Nov. 17

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Nov. 17 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials and related technology.

The open session of the upcoming meeting will include a presentation on the impact of export controls, a report on the Composite Working Group and other working groups, a discussion of proposed changes to the Select Agent List and program, and a report on regime-based activities. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to participate are due no later than Nov. 10. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at the public session, but reservations are not accepted.
