AD/CV Duty Orders on Sulfanilic Acid Continued. Effective Oct. 25, the International Trade Administration is continuing the antidumping duty orders on sulfanilic acid from China and India and the countervailing duty order on sulfanilic acid from India. The merchandise covered by these orders is all grades of sulfanilic acid, which include technical (or crude) sulfanilic acid, refined (or purified) sulfanilic acid and sodium salt of sulfanilic acid (sodium sulfanilate). Sulfanilic acid is used a raw material in the production of optical brighteners, food colors, specialty dyes and concrete additive. Subject merchandise is currently classifiable under HTSUS 2921.4222 and 2921.42.2490.
