Bill While serves as a Technical Advisor in the Global Operations Department for Sandler & Travis, resident in the Detroit office. Mr. White advises clients on import/HTS and export classification, the regulatory requirements applicable to export classification and licensing for export and re-export (with a particular focus on cryptography controls), deemed exports, and screening. He also assists clients in filing formal commodity classification requests with the Bureau of Industry and Security, licensing and end-user screening, conducting export compliance reviews, export compliance training, and import/export classification and review. He works closely with clients in the medical, telecommunications, computer, software, electronics and aviation industries.
